5 ways to stay warm this Winter

My top tips for staying nice and toasty.
1) Invest in a massive jumper to keep you nice and warm. Make sure it's several times bigger!
2) Find a cuddle buddy. Whether it's your best friend or someone who is something more find some to give you hugs whenever you're cold.
3) Make a snuggly fort with some nice thick blankets and sturdy chairs to protect you from the icey winds.
4) FLUFFY SOCKS (they're so fluffy!!!!) Nothing's better than toasty feet on a chilly night.
5) Sit in front of a roaring fire. It may sound like a stereotype but nothing is better than a flame filled fire when it's freezing.

The Beauty of London at Christmas

I've been feeling a bit rough today so I thought that I'd do a nice festive post today to cheer myself up. If you know me you know my favourite place in the world is London so when you add Christmas to the equation I couldn't any happy. As I mentioned in my last post I went to London this weekend so I thought I'd take some Christmasy pictures while I had the chance and I'd like to share them now.
Locations of Photographs: >The Ritz >Ladurée >Fortnum & Mason >Waterstones (Window Display) >Liberty >Kings Cross Station Let me know what you think a Christmas picture should have or show me your favourite. I'd love to know! -GirlUnEdited

Dress YOU!

Lots of us live in cultures where what you look like has a lot of importance put on it and although fashion is awesome and is a great expressive outlet, the problem occurs when we're dressing for other people. Nowadays we're under so much pressure from the media, etc. to look a certain way and follow trends that it is so easy to find ourselves dressing to fit in but we don't need to.
For example I have this dress I love with a plaid top and a leather skirt and I really wanted to wear it yesterday but I've always found it really difficult to style. That was until this weekend when I put it with a white jumper, a leather jacket, brogues and a bowler hat. I thought the outfit was killer but worried about how it looked. Was it too much leather? Was the jumper too long. And when other people expressed similar concerns I let it get to me; that's when I realised that however happy you are with yourself there's still a good chance you've cared about what others think and that shouldn't be the case.  Leo realised that all of us have the power to change this but letting and helping everyone just be theirselves.
I wore the outfit, and because I loved it I was confident and I think that came across. I felt awesome all day and felt like I treated more like an adult and less of a child by everyone around me. Someone actually asked me to take a picture for them! I just gave off an air of confidence because I was in a city and clothles I love. It doesn't matter if others don't like what you wear if you love it and it makes you confident wear it! Wear what you want and do so with pride.
While I was in London yesterday, in this killer outfit, I went to Monki and saw a candle with a quote on it that sums up how I feel perfectly;
"Be Fierce, Be Awesome, Be You"
And I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that you are fierce and awesome and to just be and dress you!
What's an outfit that makes you feel fierce and confident? Leave me a picture or description. I'd love to know!

I need to write!!!! - Negative Thoughts

(WARNING - This post is going to be less useful and more me venting!)

So, as my last post would suggest I'm doing exams at the moment, so many I can't count them on my fingers! Last night, like most nights at the moment, I was up late revising until I got to a point where science made less sense than Doctor Who not telling Rose he loved her, so I guessed it was time for bed, expect about two and a half hours later I was awake again!
And the problem was I couldn't get back to sleep because I had all these negative thoughts whirling round my head. What if I fail my exams? What if Miss gets angry? Hey brain, do you Remeber that horrible thing that happen a zillion years (approximately,) ago?! So eventually I gave up on getting back to sleep and concentrated more on getting rid of the downer thoughts. So what did I reach for? A book!!! Because sometimes when your brain is being absolutely cruel it more important to solve the immediate problem, (the thoughts,) rather than the bigger problem, (the sleep.) How are you going to fix the big problem without tackling the little ones first? I may be shattered now but at least my night was more relaxing than several hours of panicking.
If you get to a point where you brain is just not shutting up and is flooding you with negativity don't feel bad for doing something enjoyable because you obvious need it. You deserve to be happy! If there's something you need to do to achieve that do it! Like this morning, I needed to write. As an awesome teacher recently told me in periods of stress make sure not to neglect your hobbies. That's when you need them most.

If you have any thoughts don't hesitate to share because for all I know I'm completely wrong :P and furthermore share what makes you happy? Do you write and read too or do you do something completely different? Let me know.

So Be Merry, and not just at Christmas! :) (Side note - ITS NEARLY CHRISTMAS!!!)

How to survive Exams!

Exams are a real pain and some of us really, and I mean REALLY, struggle with the stress and pressure (raises hand in confession,) but her are some tips to make exam season a bit easier to bear. And these tips are serious!
1. Make sure to have a good chocolate stash - I love chocolate at the best of times but during exams I have a serious craving. Although chocolate may not be the healthiest it is brain food to me and always cheers me up. If you don't like or can't have chocolate use whatever keeps you going.
2. Have a good collection of comedy's or children films - When I'm stressed nothing makes me feel better than cuddling up with a Disney film. After a long period of revision it is essential to wind down and what's a better way to do this than with a film that either gives the warm snugly feelings or leaves you in fits of giggles!
3. Keep a best friend on speed dial - When you're stressed, tired and possibly frustrated who is better to rant at then a bestie? During difficult times we need to keep a good circle of support around us so don't be afraid to reach out.
4. Always keep comfy clothes to hand - Whether it's your fluffy onesie or your warmest hoodie comfy clothles are a god sent during long study nights. Not only are they comfy but if they are baggy enough you can hide when you've had enough, (I would not recommend this action although I have done it before!)
5. MUSIC! - If everything becomes too much put on something with serious drums and hand bang it out. I suggest Ace of Spades by Mötorhead!

But seriously exams are horrible but just try your best and try to look after yourself. You can't do more more than your best and your wellbeing is the most important thing.
If you have any exam survival tips leave them in the comments!
